The unemployment crisis is the greatest issue facing us at this time. Too many people in Cork do not have jobs. We in Fine Gael are committed to solving this problem.

We need provide education and training opportunities for the unemployed. We must ensure that these facilities are suitable, adequate and comprehensive.  We need equip people with the necessary skills and competences needed not only to find work but to thrive in work.

Unemployment is a huge hardship on individuals, families and communities. We must provide the necessary support and opportunities to prevent people falling into long term unemployment. For those already in the situation we must ensure that every effort is made to enable.
